The Bharat Heavy Electricals Employees' Co-Operative Bank (Ltd.) R.No - R1559 was initialy registered as Bharat Heavy Electricals  Employees' Cooperative Thrift and Credit Society under sub section(1) of Section 9 of the Madras Co-Operative Societies Act 1961 (Madras Act 53 of 1961) in 1967 (21.02.1967) to cater to the credit needs of BHEL employees. This Co-operative Society was recognised as Bharat Heavy Electricals Employees' Co-operative Bank by the Reserve Bank of India in 1969 (30.09.1969). The Central Office of the Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai has issued License to our Bank to carry out the Banking business, under Sec. 23 of Banking Regulations Act, 1949 (as applicable to co-operative Societies). Since then, the Bank has had a phenomenal growth due to the patronage of BHEL and sustained participation of members.

AREA OF OPERATION & MEMBERSHIP:

The area of operation of the Bank is confined to the limits of BHEL units in Tamilnadu. All regular employees of BHEL can become A-class members of the Bank. Retired BHEL employees and other people are recognized as associate members of the bank.

HEAD OFFICE AND BRANCHES

Our Head office is located in kailasapuram, Trichy-14. Our bank is having 6 branches, 4 in Trichy, 1 in Ranipet and 1 in Chennai.

ATMs and CDM

We are operating 6 On-Site ATMs and 5 Offsite ATMs.  8 ATMs in Trichy, 2 in Ranipet, 1 in Thirumayam and 1 cash deposit machine at Main Branch, Trichy.
